Why translate anarchist content?

(Versió en valencià)

(Versión en español)

For me, to continue training and developing myself is a responsibility as a human being, a moral duty, as a sign of respect for our fellow human beings (ancestors, contemporaries and descendants), and the rest of biodiversity.

In to do so, I believe that obtaining relevant information is fundamental for us to better understand the world we live in, ourselves and others, and to make our wonderful and short life contribute to improve it, not to make it worse.

I am part of the Valencian tribe, which is neither better nor worse than any other; it is particular; it is different; it is unique, like each one of us. Like each one of the stars ✨ in the firmament. Thus, I see the whole of the peoples of the world as the stars of the firmament under which we all live. And I firmly believe that each people (cultural tribe) must try to continue to live and do so in solidarity with each other; and in turn, must allow and encourage each individual to continue to develop freely as a human being.

Therefore, I see Anarchy as the most civic way we can aspire to as human beings, to coexist in a sustainable way in society; and whose method, the scientific one (in continuous evolution, always changing and under no authority except those of the evidences -verifiable by third parties-), as a way to reach decisions and agreements in social matters that concern us all.

So, translating anarchist contents into Catalan-Valencian fulfills five objectives:

  1. To continue learning about this train of thought that gathers the values with which I feel more identified, and thus improve my arguments against the status quo 💪🧠
  2. To give everyone free access to the contents I make, in trying to make the world a little bit freer.
  3. Preserve and honor the memory of those people who are no longer among us and dedicated, even gave their lives for a better world for all and to all those who to this day continue to do so ❤️; and who were systematically defamed, persecuted, imprisoned, deported, tortured, murdered and silenced in a macabre attempt, which lasts to this day, to erase anarchism from the cultural heritage of the peoples of the world.
  4. To keep alive the flame 🔥 of the Valencian culture, its language, so that it continues to shine ✨ in the firmament of the tribes of humanity 🌍.
  5. To create a medium for the people of my cultural tribe so that they can have the freedom to continue to develop as individuals; the freedom to be exposed to and approach these ideas that otherwise they would never have contemplated (and even less so in their native language), helping them to continue to develop their capacity for critical thinking and the rational-emotional link between these ideas, essential for real change.

Hence the system that is emerging to meet the objectives:

  • Create a free, collaborative and self-managed Catalan version of The Anarchist Library, where to host our works and those of those who want to collaborate 💜.
  • To publish in this blog and in our social networks Mastodon and Peertube third party contents that reflect the values that identify us and improve our capacity for critical thinking.

I have a lot of work and fun ahead of me 🤓.

And I'm very excited to share it with you 😍.

For a better culture and a better world!

Let's get to work!
